A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishers

A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA, founded in Kyiv in 1992, is the 2019 Publishing Prestige Award Winner, as well as the first privately owned publisher of children’s books to be established in an independent Ukraine. A distinctive feature of A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA is publishing books masterfully illustrated by Ukraine’s leading book artists.

Before 2008 we focused solely on children’s literature, and afterwards we started publishing books for all ages. A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishers have been selling rights to four continents of the world—from Great Britain to the U.S., Brazil, China, South Korea, and New Zealand. Some of our highly elaborate interactive books, such as The Snow Queen, have topped book ratings in a number of countries worldwide, particularly in Japan.

Exhibitions of illustrations by our artists for the publishing house were successfully staged in a number of global venues, particularly in New York City in 2013.
